Seven Year Gold stands alone when it comes to aged, rich compost to fertilize and amend your existing soil. Seven Year Gold is neutral enough on the pH scale (6.6) that it can be used alone for your potted plants.

USING SEVEN YEAR GOLD

For Best Results

Nutrients are absorbed most efficiently during the period when a plants root system is growing. For the majority of plants, this period occurs twice a year. The first is in early spring, normally before and during budding. The second time is between late summer and early fall.
The optimum time to apply organic fertilizer is two weeks before each of these periods. Applying the fertilizer two weeks in advance allows the nutrients to properly seep into the root bed so they are available as needed by the plant.
Fertilizing your plants during the fall can lead to healthier and faster growth when spring comes again than if you waited until the spring to fertilize.

Before Planting:

Blend Seven Year Gold well into the top 6-8 inches of soil bed. Plant seeds and water as required.

Existing Plants:

Apply Seven Year Gold generously between rows or spread around plants base. Water your plants as required. Watering will carry the nutrients to the root structure allowing your plants to fully absorb them.

Our Process

Seven Year Gold is classified as a “Complete Fertilizer” because it contains the three growing nutrients of nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium.  These elements occur naturally and with a pH (acidity level) of 6.6 there is absolutely no risk of burning even the most sensitive plants.

During the composting process, Seven Year Gold reaches temperatures in excess of 130 F.  At these proper temperatures, pathogens and weed seeds are destroyed. 

Experienced gardeners know that some things cannot be rushed. This is especially true when it comes to good compost. At Tanglewood Gardens we take this very seriously. Seven years is a long time to wait. Seven Year Gold is the same product we have supplied professional gardeners with for over 20 years.
